Installing a smart home lighting system doesn’t have to be exclusive or expensive. And it is that compared to the most premium options that we find on the market, there are cheaper alternatives and a good example is this lighting kit that Lidl sells.

The supermarket chain offers a connected LED lighting kit in its catalog. A set consisting of three bulbs, a hub that acts as a bridge and a remote control. A kit now revised downwards and on sale, at a price of 56.99 euros instead of the usual 69.99 euros.

ZigBee compatibility

The connected lighting kit that can be found at Lidl is made up of three E27 screw bulbs, a remote control and a gateway (Hub) compatible with the Zigbee 3.0 wireless standard.

Thanks to this bridge, these bulbs can be integrated with other Zigbee 3.0 compatible systems from other manufacturers and brands. Communication is carried out in complete security, thanks to a data encryption system.

This kit requires the Lidl Home application available in the Google Play Store and the App Store and a mobile phone with the operating system iOS 9.0 or higher or Android 5.0 Lollipop or higher for its operation.

The bulbs offer up to 16 million colors and allow you to adjust the type of brightness in white, so that it is more or less warm. In addition and to avoid having to use the mobile, the remote control allows you to turn it on and off, adjust the intensity and select the color temperature.

In addition, this kit is compatible with the Google Assistant, so that we can control it via voice commands.

You can now find the LED light kit at Lidl for 56.99 euros.
