In the past, there have already been attempts to bring Android and the tablet world closer together in a more specific way than just adapting the interface slightly, as in the case of the Pixel C, for example, or as in the case of the DeX. from Samsung. , which lets you turn your tablets and cellphones into (almost) personal computers so you can work with them, or the way it will happen in Android 12.

But now we are starting to see a movement in Android similar to what has already happened in iOS with the arrival of iPadOS, now in version 15. Manufacturers with their own layers are starting to roll out their creations, what if Xiaomi has already launched MIUI for Pad a few weeks ago with the arrival of the Mi Pad 5, now it’s OPPO that will take the plunge with its proprietary layer: ColorOS for iPad.

New tablet, new layer for tablets

The information comes from a leak from an old acquaintance of these territories, the Digital Chat Station leaker. The leak shows us what the future OPPO tablet will look like, quite similar to the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 we’ve seen before, although tablets, like phones, tend to look a lot alike when viewed from the front.

But without a doubt, most of the information in this leak is what tells us that OPPO is deploying its operating system or, rather, the layer that runs on Android. If until now we only had ColorOS in its terminals, it seems that soon we will welcome ColorOS for Pad, a specific layer for large screen tablets.

In the leak, it is said that the future ColorOS for Pad will arrive with quick gestures both in the lower dock and in desktop widgets. It also appears to be focusing on the interconnection between phones, headphones, watches, and other devices, and no further information is provided in this regard, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer.

As for OPPO’s own tablet, we have a front camera built into a hole in the screen and it looks like we will have a large diagonal, depending on the thickness of the frames visible in the image. We do not know when this new tablet will be launched but everything indicates that it is a more than advanced development so we may have more information very soon.
