Itamaraty withdraws Brazilian from Afghanistan across Pakistan border

Itamaraty informed this Monday (30) that he had managed to get another Brazilian out of Afghanistan. He left Afghanistan on Sunday (29) by land, towards Pakistan, a border country. On Friday (27), another Brazilian was rescued with his family during an operation carried out with the help of the Spanish and German governments. The information was published by Estadão.

The new withdrawal was coordinated between the Brazilian Embassy in Islamabad and the Pakistani government. The Brazilian was accompanied by six Afghan relatives and all are in good health and safety conditions, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE). Of the five Brazilians identified by Itamaraty in Afghanistan, the two who asked for help to leave the country managed to leave.
