The musician likes to get involved in political debates and flaunts his colors. It’s no secret which part he feels best taken care of.

Berlin (dpa) – Classic star Igor Levit (34) likes to get involved in political debates very vigorously – and doesn’t want to hold back before the general election on September 26.

“I can not go into details yet because I am not ready – but be sure that I will participate in the last weeks of the election campaign as I can and as it seems right to me”, he announced virtuoso piano in an interview with the German press agency in Berlin.

Levit, who has enjoyed great success with record buyers and critics since 2019 with the complete recording of Beethoven’s sonatas, has a clear preference for choice. “As for my membership in the Greens, it’s no secret, I’m totally transparent.” He was “critical, without obedience to content – but I trust a lot of those I have met in this party.” It’s my team!
