George Washington and Benedict Arnold, read about them with the History Book Group

History enthusiasts are encouraged to join an engaging discussion of important topics of the past at the History Book Group.

The group meets one Thursday per month at 4 p.m. to discuss the month’s selection.

For the next meeting, the group is talking about the first half of “Valiant Ambition: George Washington, Benedict Arnold, and the Fate of the American Revolution” by Nathaniel Philbrick on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the Manomet Branch Library, 12 Strand Avenue. Philbrick examines the relationship between Washington and Arnold and the impact of that relationship in the midst of the American Revolution.  Copies of the book are available one month prior at the branch library.

This program is free and open to new members. For more information about this event, contact the Manomet Branch Librarian at (508) 830-4185, email to jenniferj@ocln.org or visit the library’s web site, www.plymouthpubliclibrary.org, for a complete list of events.
