Read about the ‘Radium Girls’ with the History Book Group

History enthusiasts are encouraged to join an engaging discussion of important topics of the past at the History Book Group.

The group meets one Thursday per month at 4 p.m. to discuss the month’s selection.

For the next meeting, the group is talking about “ Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America’s Shining Women” by Kate Moore on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Manomet Branch Library, 12 Strand Avenue. Moore’s book chronicles the disastrous ways in which young women were affected by their work with radioactive materials.
