Police arrested a Manomet man for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs on Samoset Street, Sunday afternoon.
He was also charged with possession of heroin.
According to Captain John Rogers, Matthew Webb, 38, of Heather Drive drove his gray Dodge Caravan across Samoset Street from Algonquin Heights, ending up with the front of the minivan up on the curb at the Citgo station.
Several people, Rogers said, assisted Webb before police arrived. He was, according to the police report, disoriented and struggling to keep his eyes open. He also allegedly said he had taken prescription drugs. Police reportedly found a baggie and spoon with heroin residue on him.
He was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess-Plymouth Hospital for examination, then to the Plymouth Station where he was charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, OUI drugs and possession of a class A substance.
