Half of the population of the United States is fully immune to Covid-19, a White House spokesperson said on Friday (6). A fully vaccinated population is considered to be one over 12 years of age who has received two doses of vaccine or a single dose of Janssen.

“The 7-day average of new vaccines is up 11% from the previous week, and 44% over the past two weeks. 50% of Americans (all ages) are fully vaccinated. Let’s keep it up!”, Cyrus Shahpar, White House chief of Covid-19 data monitoring, wrote on Twitter.

The US government is developing a plan to require full proof of vaccination for nearly all foreigners who wish to enter the country.
