Police were called to a home on Thrush Avenue Friday night after getting reports of an armed man in the area.
According to Captain John Rogers, officers responded to a report of allegedly drunk man sitting in a truck holding a gun to his head. When officers arrived, the man was no longer there. They were able to locate him inside his home and ordered him outside.
The weapon he was holding was a pellet gun which police found on a shelf inside the house, according to Rogers.
The man, 61, was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth for evaluation.
