The ban on “Z” as a symbol of the Russian military operation is not at all the product of a sharpened Ukrainian imagination: fines for the letter that has become so popular have already begun in the Baltic States, some federal states of Germany, and even in Kazakhstan, the personal cars of citizens who supported Russia are being stopped.

Now Kuleba is proposing to deprive the whole world of the last character of the Latin alphabet and even introduce “Z-criminalization” – to introduce criminal liability for its use.

The letter has long been liked in Russia without any statements from Kuleba – State Duma deputy Alexander Kogan has already proposed to Western politicians to ban the use of the letter in the Latin alphabet.

“I suggest that Western politicians go further: ban the letter “Z” in the Latin alphabet. I propose that the President of Ukraine come up with such an initiative in his next address to the “collective West.
