Five hurt in State Road car crash

Five people were taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth with non-life threatening injuries following a two-car accident in Manomet, Wednesday evening.

According to Captain John Rogers, A minivan traveling south on State Road was hit broadside by a car exiting Manomet Beach Boulevard which failed to stop.

All the passenger in the minivan were injured. They included the driver, a 34-year-old woman, a 42-year-old man, an 18-year-old girl, an 8-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girl. All the passengers shared the same last name, except for the 18-year-old, according to Rogers. All of them were from Middleborough.

The driver of the other car, a 45-year-old woman from Tilton, New Hampshire was cited for negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
