Ludwigshafen / Berlin (dpa) – Multiple Grimme Prize winner Claudia Michelsen will this year, alongside Ulrich Matthes, receive the Drama Prize at the Ludwigshafen German Film Festival.
The 52-year-old is “one of the great actresses of German cinema, a mastery of her subject,” said director Michael Kötz. The festival company had already announced this week that Ulrich Matthes was one of the winners. The prize will be presented to him on September 4. The Michelsen prize (“Polizeiruf 110”, “Ku’damm 56”) is scheduled for September 10th.
Matthes and Michelsen both live in Berlin. The Ludwigshafen festival takes place from September 1 to 19.
