MANOMET LIBRARY: Mother Goose on the Loose

A new session of Mother Goose on the Loose, the lap-sit nursery rhyme and story program, will begin at the Plymouth Public Library, 132 South Street, on Monday,January 8 at 10:00 a.m. This free program is for children ages 18 months and younger with a parent or caregiver.  The program will run for ten weeks.  Registration will begin December 25, and includes 10 consecutive weeks. Alt. Rock. Vapors of Morphine honors the progressive legacy of it’s predecessor. Original Morphine members Dana Colley (baritone sax) and Jerome Deupree (drums) are joined by transplanted New Orleans’ slide guitarist Jeremy Lyons. They create dreamy soundscapes, applying inventive arrangement to the unique instrumentation of electric baritone saxophone (evocative of Jimi Hendrix’ guitar), the Sandman-style 2string slide bass (sometimes electric bouzouki or guitar) and mad, jazz-rock drums.
