A pair of duck hunters caused a security scare at Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station Saturday morning.
According to Capt. John Rogers, security at the plant were alerted by the sound of gun shots and notified the authorities. The pair were out on the water, but never entered the exclusion zone. Nonetheless, the harbormaster escorted them to Plymouth Harbor where their credentials were checked out. They were then sent on their way.
A press release from Pilgrim stated the plant remained secure during the investigation of the incident.
