Drugs suspected in man’s death in Manomet

A 49-year-old Plymouth man died of a suspected drug overdose in Manomet over the weekend.

According to Captain John Rogers, police were called to a home on Brentwood Circle on Saturday at around 6:30 p.m. They found the  victim and administered two doses of Narcan, he said. He did not live at that address, Rogers said.

The victim was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth and then Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He died Sunday morning.

Items consistent with intravenous drug use were found at the scene, Rogers said.
