A Manomet man, 51, was arrested for drunk driving, Tuesday night on Route 3.
According to Captain John Rogers, a caller reported her car was rear-ended at the intersection of Commerce Way and Colony Place as she waited at a red light. The other driver then allegedly ran the light and headed east on Route 44. The victim followed the car and reported that it hit several lights and the guard rail. The car was finally stopped on Route 3 near the Kingston line.
The driver of that car, Stephen Ottino, 51, of Stage Point Road was taken to South Shore Hospital with injuries to his jaw and neck, Rogers said. He was arrested there and charged with leaving the scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and OUI.
He was released on his own recognizance.
