A 10-year-old girl was taken by helicopter with a head injury to Tufts Medical Center after she reportedly hit a car on State Road, Saturday night.
According to Captain John Rogers, the girl was walking with her brothers when they crossed to the east side of the road near the High Point Treatment Center. While the boys managed to make it across, the girl hit the car, a Ford SUV. She fell on the pavement and struck her head, Rogers said.
As of Sunday morning, the girl’s condition was listed as serious but stable, Rogers said. The hospital, he added, as not provided any further updates on her condition.
The driver of the car, a 53-year-old Plymouth woman, stayed at the scene, Rogers said. She told police that she didn’t see anything, but heard a noise. She will not be cited with any violations.
The girl’s mother accompanied her to the hospital, Rogers said.
