We already have among us the long-awaited renewal of the original OPPO Watch, a watch that introduced ColorOS as a layer on Wear OS: the OPPO Watch 2 is already official in China. The brand is renewing its range of connected watches by focusing on the Snapdragon Wear 4100 and integrating a large number of sensors.

The competition in connected watches is fierce, there is no mobile brand that does not want to reserve a place in devices on the wrist. OPPO is no stranger to this trend, there is the OPPO watch to prove it. With a design inspired by the Apple Watch and high sports and hardware features, the renewal of the range comes with even more power, also greater autonomy. And it doesn’t look bad by specs.

The outward appearance leaves no doubt: the OPPO Watch 2 continues to rely on the styling of the Apple Watch to build its essence. Of course, instead of the crown, OPPO relies on two buttons on the right side of the device; keeping the aluminum case, the inner part for the sensors and the tempered glass protection for the screen.

The OPPO Watch 2 is available in two sizes: 42 and 46mm. The first model can be purchased with a 4G option via eSIM, the second only has the 4G variant available. The two are virtually identical in the rest of the specs.

The screen of the watch measures 1.75 inches (42 mm) with a resolution of 372 x 430 pixels. The technology is AMOLED, has curved glass on the edges (2.5D) and maintains a pixel density of 326 PPI.

The jewel of the watch is the Snapdragon Wear 4100, an SoC for smartwatches that has already proven its worth in models like the TicWatch Pro 3. The processor comes with 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage and offers the ColorOS Watch. Layer 2. We still don’t know if China has Wear OS (OPPO doesn’t detail it on their website), although it will surely come with this OS when it hits Europe.

OPPO Watch 2 offers recording of over 100 sports, includes activity and sleep tracking, can measure blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), has sleep and stress measurement, offers satellite positioning and up to ten days of autonomy with its 360 mAh battery. The one with basic use, which with “normal” use lasts up to 2.5 days, still according to the brand’s data.
