Cell tower talk put off until February

Discussion to put a 190-foot cell tower at the Waverly Oaks Golf Club has been put off by the Zoning Board of Appeals until February 17, according to the ZBA’s administrative secretary, Tracy McCarthy.

Long Pond Golf Corporation, which owns Waverly Oaks, wants to install the tower, which would be used by Verizon Wireless, according to the Old Colony Memorial. The company is planning on building 30 single-family homes on the site.

The Attorney for Verizon requested the hearing be postponed, McCarthy said.
