Welcome Liam Robert Shoff

Robert Shoff and Hillary Clark of Plymouth announce the birth of their first son, Liam Robert Shoff. Born on March 8, 2017 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. Liam came in weighing a whopping 9.1 pounds and was 20.25 inches long at birth.  His grandparents are Steve and Laurie Clark of Chatham, and Stephen and Sara Shoff of Marshfield. Continue Reading →

Join Manomet and Wildlands Trust staff on February 20 at 10 a.m. for a guided walk around Davis-Douglas Farm Conservation Area in Plymouth, searching for signs of life in the middle of winter. Clark and Elwood named to UNH Dean’s List

Abigail Clark and Kelly Elwood were named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire for the fall 2016 semester. Students named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire are students who have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance during a semester enrolled in a full-time course load (12 or more graded credits). Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors. Continue Reading →

Build a home for an owl at Tidmarsh Farms

The Herring Ponds Watershed Association is holding a  screech owl and bluebird nest box building workshop a the Barn at Tidmarsh West on February 11, 2017 from 10 a.m. to noon. All wood parts will be precut from rough-sawn wood. Tools and fasteners will be available to assemble on the spot or to take home. Species habits and box placement advice will be dispensed. Story time at the Manomet Branch Library

Manomet Story Time, a  half-hour story program at the Manomet Branch Library gives parents, caregivers, and children 6 and under the opportunity to enjoy books, songs, rhymes and movement activities together. Cameron Smith makes the Dean’s List at Springfield College

Cameron Smith was named to the Springfield College Springfield College for the 2016 fall  semester. Criteria for selection to the dean’s list requires that the student must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework for the semester, the student must not have any incompletes in the designated semester, and the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester. Emma Machado named to Assumption College Dean’s List

Assumption College has announced that Emma Machado, a member of the Class of 2017 from Plymouth, is one of 486 students named to the College’s prestigious undergraduate Dean’s List for the fall 2016 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean’s List, Assumption students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a five-class, 15-credit semester.
