‘Little Shop of Horrors’ closes out Priscilla Beach Theatre season

Priscilla Beach Theatre proudly presents its closing show of the 2017 season, “Little Shop of Horrors.” Performances are October 13 through October 21 in the historic barn stage. With book and lyrics by Howard Ashman, and music by Alan Menken, “Little Shop of Horrors” is a sci-fi musical comedy about a meek florist who raises a plant that has an  appetite for human blood.

Tribute to James Taylor at the Priscilla Beach Theatre

Priscilla Beach Theatre presents “Fire & Rain, A Tribute to James Taylor” featuring Dave Binder, for two shows only, August 26 and 27, on its historic barn stage. The music of James Taylor continues to be a part of the fiber of pop music culture and after thousands of performances over the past 30 years, Dave Binder continues to thrill audiences with his tribute to this iconic singer/songwriter. Making use of a vocal harmonizer, acoustic guitar and bass pedal, Dave gives the effect of multiple artists on stage, sings uncannily like J.T., and with his relaxed and addictive personality, entices and informs the audience with the stories behind James Taylor’s greatest songs. ‘The Marvelous Wonderettes’ kicks of Priscilla Beach Theatre season

– Priscilla Beach Theatre presents the musical comedy “The Marvelous Wonderettes,” by Roger Bean, May 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m., and May 7 at 2 p.m. on its historic barn stage in Plymouth. This smash Off-Broadway hit takes you to 1958 Springfield High School prom where we meet Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy, four girls with hopes and big dreams. As we learn about their lives and loves, the girls serenade us with classic ‘50s hits including “Lollipop,” “Dream Lover,” and “Lipstick on Your Collar.” In Act II, the Wonderettes reunite at their 10-year reunion and take to the stage with more classics from the ‘50s and 60s.

Student registration open for ‘THE MUSIC MAN, JR.’ at Priscilla Beach Theatre

Registration is open for the student workshop of “The Music Man Jr.” at Priscilla Beach Theatre. Beginning Thursday, September 8, students will rehearse Thursdays from 4-6 p.m. and Sundays from noon-4 p.m.  Performances will take place on PBT’s historic barn stage on Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23 at 10:30 a.m.

Summer stock troupe digs in for the long run at Priscilla Beach Theatre

Priscilla Beach Theatre announces upcoming season

Priscilla Beach Theatre’s 2016 season will feature six productions, including two iconic Broadway musicals, two contemporary musical works and two hit comedies, from May through October on its historic barn stage. “We have a great season of fun and entertaining shows lined up for 2016,” says Bob Malone, PBT owner and producer. “There are six shows in the barn this year, four of them featuring exceptional regional talent, plus our two big shows in July and August starring our resident summer stock troupe. More than 170 young actors from around the country auditioned for the 22 spots available this summer. Our audiences are going to see top talent on our stage all year long.”

Priscilla Beach Theatre announces subscription program, summer productions

Priscilla Beach Theatre’s 2016 season will feature six productions, including two iconic Broadway musicals, two contemporary musical works and two hit comedies, from May through October on its historic barn stage.
