A Carver man faces several charges after his allegedly reckless driving caught the attention of a Plymouth police officer.
According to Capt. John Rogers, an officer patrolling the area of Beaver Dam Road Friday night spotted a car being driven by Michael Newcomb of Everett Street in Carver, do a sudden reverse with the wheels spinning on Manomet Beach Boulevard. He then pulled into the 7-Eleven on State Road.
While Newcomb went into the store, the officer spoke with a juvenile passenger in the car. The officer reportedly found signs of drug use. When Newcomb left the store, he was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, drinking from an open container in alcohol and possesion of a class A susbstance.
