An East Falmouth woman was arrested Friday afternoon for drunk driving after allegedly claiming she was forced off the road by an animal.
According to Lieutenant Dana Flynn, an officer found Celina Walker, 48, leaning against her car after she allegedly drove it into the woods near Gunners Exchange Road. Walker reportedly told the officer that an opossum had run in front of her car, forcing her off the road.
After a field sobriety test, the officer reportedly found Walker to be drunk and placed her under arrest. She was charged with OUI and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
