United States President Joe Biden said on Tuesday (3) that he believed New York Governor Democrat Andrew Cuomo should step down after an investigation found Cuomo sexually harassed several women. Asked about it by White House reporters, Biden replied, “I think he should resign. I understand the state legislature may decide to impeach. I’m not sure.”

On Tuesday, the New York State Attorney General’s Office announced that the nearly five-month investigation into the governor’s conduct found that Cuomo sexually harassed 11 state government employees and that there had a “hostile” “work environment” in his administration.

Cuomo scathingly denied the report’s findings. “I want people to know directly from me that I have never touched a woman inappropriately or insinuated myself sexually,” the governor commented in a televised message two hours after the publication of the results of the investigation . “I am 63 years old. I have lived all my life in public. It is not me, it is never me,” added the governor, who since March, when the first accusations were revealed, has repeatedly denied them.
