Priscilla Beach Theatre will hold auditions on Sunday, Aug. 9 and Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 6-9 p.m. for “Breaking Up Is Hard To Do,” at 800 Rocky Hill Road, Plymouth.
The musical comedy with book by Erik Jackson and Ben H. Winters, lyrics by Neil Sedaka, Howard Greenfield and Philip Cody, features Neil Sedaka’s greatest hits. The show is set in a 1960s Catskills resort where two young women from Brooklyn are in search of good times and romance over one wild Labor Day weekend.
PBT is seeking three women and three men, all must be strong singers, and all roles are open. Prepare 32 measures of a song from the show or in its style. An accompanist will be provided. Actors will receive a stipend. Reserve an audition time by calling 508-224-4888 or by email at .
“Breaking Up Is Hard To Do,” directed by Conni Dilego with musical direction by Chris Ricci, rehearses Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 6-9 pm, with the exception of the first rehearsal beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 6-9 p.m. Performances are Oct. 9 & 10, 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 11, 2:00 p.m. in PBT’s newly restored historic barn theatre.
