Analysts have pointed out that in early 2021, the Apple Watch will surpass the 100 million user figure. Now, new data from Counterpoint Research indicates it was right, with an Apple Watch leading the smartwatch market, which continues to rise.

Apple Watch nears 30% market share

Counterpoint Research has released the data regarding the smart watch market. Following the crisis caused by COVID.19, global smartwatch shipments increased by up to 27% compared to the same quarter last year.

Apple maintains its first position, well above its direct competitors, with up to three times more presence than most of them.

Apple: 28% Huawei: 9.3% Samsung 7.6% Imoo: 6.0% Garmin: 5.8%

Compared to the same period last year, Apple has fallen from 30.1% to 28% market share, a slight decrease, but consolidating a first position. Likewise, analysts say the 100 million user mark has been broken, with the United States being the main market, accounting for more than half of its user base.

The news comes a few weeks after the presentation of the new iPhone 13 and the Apple Watch Series 7, the new Apple devices with good sales forecasts for 2022.
