Apple has just released updates for several operating systems. Two weeks after the release of iOS 15.3, the versions released are iOS and iPadOS 15.3.1, watchOS 8.4.2 and macOS 12.2.1 and they focus on bug fixes as well as security improvements.

Versions with significant security improvements

The list of new features in these versions is moderate, but their importance makes them priority updates. In macOS 12.2.1, Apple fixes a bug related to Bluetooth that could cause excessive battery drain when the computer is sleeping.

In iOS 15.3.1 and the corresponding version of iPadOS, Apple provides improvements to braille displays as well as “significant security enhancements”, without giving details, although these appear to be fixes related to Safari. Something similar to what happens in watchOS 8.4.2, where Apple is also focusing on improving the watch charging system.

As we continue the development of iOS 15.4 and macOS 12.3 in beta phase and with important new features, Apple has decided to release these intermediate versions to solve certain situations without having to wait for the current beta cycle.

We can install all updates from Settings> General> Software Updates or from System Preferences> Software Updates in the case of the Mac. Updates, without a doubt, highly recommended.
