Barely a day has passed since the launch of iOS 15.3 and other systems, and Apple has already started full work on the next version. Developers can now download the first beta of iOS 15.4, iPadOS 15.4, macOS 12.3, tvOS 15.4, and watchOS 8.5.

A first sign of the March news?

Apple doesn’t specify anything in the list of what’s new in this beta beyond typical stability and security fixes, and it’s still early to announce any findings. However, we do not lose sight that the Universal Control function presented at WWDC21 is still awaiting launch.

Being as it is at the end of January, perhaps iOS 15.4 will be the version that will appear with news of an event in March. Apple would have about seven to eight weeks to work on this beta, more than enough for what normally lasts the development of each version. It is expected that in March we will see new devices such as a third generation iPhone SE and a new iPad Air. It is possible that with the next betas we will discover the occasional surprise.

As we always say, the recommendation here is that you only install these betas if you are absolutely sure of what you are doing and take full responsibility for it. Beta versions of any operating system are generally unstable, with errors and can endanger the integrity of your data.
