Actors can do without these awards: Amy Adams and Bruce Willis were nominated for the “Golden Raspberries”.
Six-time Oscar-nominated action star Bruce Willis (66) and Amy Adams (47, ‘American Hustle’) could receive Hollywood’s ridiculous awards at the end of March.
The distributors of “Golden Raspberries” or “Razzies” announced the award nominations on Monday, which are not entirely serious. Traditionally, suitors are named a day before the Oscar nominations are announced.
Adams is nominated in two categories, for “worst leading actress” in the psychological thriller “Woman in the Window” and for her supporting role in the musical “Dear Evan Hansen.” Distributors offered a special split for Willis, on the grounds that he had eight bad roles in 2021, including in films such as “American Siege,” “Deadlock” and “Cosmic Sin.” Scott Eastwood (“Dangerous”), LeBron James (“Space Jam: A New Legacy” and Mark Wahlberg (“Infinite”) are up for the title of “Worst Lead Actor”.
Thriller Karen and Broadway flop Diana the Musical rivaled Space Jam, Infinite and The Woman in the Window as the worst film. The production about the life of Princess Diana – starring Jeanna de Waal as Diana and Roe Hartrampf as Prince Charles – is on the Netflix streaming service. With a total of nine nominations, the musical is the top contender at the 42nd Spot Awards.
The “Razzies” (short for Raspberry) were created in 1980 by filmmaker John Wilson in return for the prestigious Oscars. According to the group, more than 1,100 members in the United States and four dozen other countries vote. The “winners” are traditionally announced the day before the Oscars gala, which is due to take place on March 27 this year. This Tuesday (February 8), the Hollywood Film Academy will announce the Oscar nominations. (dpa)
