Rocket attack on Kandahar airport in Afghanistan. The Taliban are said to have carried out three rocket attacks on the airport. After which all flights have been cancelled.

The conflict between the Afghan army and the Taliban has continued since the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan. The Taliban have intensified attacks in the past few days. The Taliban are now trying to capture Kandahar, which is still largely under the control of the Afghan military.

Kandahar airport officials have confirmed the rocket attack. The airport chief said at least three rockets were fired at Kandahar airport in southern Afghanistan. All flights from the airport have been canceled following the attack.

The Taliban have intensified attacks here in the last few days. Rocket attacks are happening. Innocent people are being killed. The situation is that people are forced to leave their homes and live in refugee camps.

The government has set up a refugee camp in Kandahar. In which more than 11 thousand families live. Kandahar MP Syed Ahmed Sailab said a few days ago that the Taliban intensified attacks on Afghan forces after Eid. Common people in Kandahar are caught in the ongoing conflict between the Taliban and the army and the situation is that thousands of people from hundreds of villages are fleeing their homes in search of safe places.

Taliban occupy 85% of the area!

In April 2021, US President Joe Biden announced the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan by September. The Taliban again became active for the second time and intensified their attacks. The Afghan army withdrew and the Taliban’s occupation increased. The Taliban claim control of more than 85 percent of Afghanistan.

The Taliban have captured several outposts in Kandahar, Afghanistan’s second largest city after Kabul. The battle for city control is in full swing. All the checkposts in the areas adjacent to Pakistan are occupied. Afghan soldiers had to take refuge in Tajikistan amid Taliban attacks on the Tajik border.
